Thank you.
Today, two things got confirmed. The first, global warming is unquestionably happening. No, really. A study by US scientists from Scripps Institution of Oceanography reveals a "clear" and "compelling evidence" of global warming and humans as the foremost cause:
"The debate about whether there is a global warming signal now is over, at least for rational people," said Tim Barnett, of the Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. "The models got it right. If a politician stands up and says the uncertainty is too great to believe these models, that is no longer tenable."
Secondly, George Bush and his administration is definitely not rational:
A Bush administration spokesman greeted news of the study with indifference.
"Our position has been the same for a long time," said Bill Holbrook, spokesman for the White House Council on Environmental Quality. "The science of global climate change is uncertain." (from LinuxInsider)
So much for Micheal Chrichton and his "State of Fear".
Song of the Moment: David Bowie, "Five Years":
News guy wept and told us
Earth was really dying,
Cried so much, his face was wet,
Then i knew he was not lying.
